Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
I am a Professor in Cardiff University and a Consultant at University Hospital of Wales.
My interests are in sports surgery, including hamstring reattachment, shin splints and all forms of knee reconstruction and knee injury, and also in trauma for broken bones of all descriptions all over the body, and in knee surgery, including partial knee replacement, knee replacement and realignment osteotomy, which is a particular interest of mine.
I have been a Consultant for 17 years. I trained originally at University College, London and did surgical training in Nottingham, Cardiff and Sydney, Australia.
Apart from clinical duties, I have extensive teaching and training duties, and have a particular interest in the training of both junior and senior surgeons. I am a Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
