I am delighted to tell you that I have just completed a couch to 5k programme and on Saturday completed a park run.
When we last spoke you told me that jumping / skipping would strengthen the tendon so that gave me the confidence to contact my strength and conditioning run coach and join back in on her weekly sessions. She knows of my situation and included exercises specifically for me (hello skipping rope). I continued with my sports therapist and at the time you had predicted I could start running he told me I was ready. I’m taking it easy as it’s still early days but progress is good and I’m not having any adverse reaction to anything I do. I sometimes get sit bone pain but it’s not exercise related - hard wooden chairs are the culprit when I’m out and have no other seating option.
I think we can safely say I am another one of your successful surgeries.
Thank you very much. I can’t express enough how wonderful it is to have a life back where I can walk, go on holiday without worrying that I’ll be severely restricted, go up and down stairs, not have to consider where I cross the road because I can’t step off the pavement etc. Best decision I made choosing you for my surgery.
